A Garden from Eden
A garden did I longingly to aspire
of hues of green colours abundant to transpire
alas a plot of ochre earth no more
what did I need to achieve from raw
A hand to help to guide to choose
start a process light blue paper to a fuse
a Gardener who knew to blend and weave
something new old different to conceive
A barrow a spade a fork a hoe
no time for just plain seed to sow
a choice of evergreen semi and ornamental tree
then I may sit below bower behold and see
A Japanese Kew Garden now I possess
Bamboo Azaleas Box Anemone no less
even now in Autumn leaves do I possess
the winter wind will no longer blight but grasses caress
Oh to create such wonder is a skill
an ability to create deliver at will
grasp such skill partake with open hands
you will see such pleasure upon your own lands
